Ashley Jensen, MA, APCC #10796

Hi! My name is Ashley and I am an Associate Professional Clinical Counselor. Being in nature is when I feel most at peace, whether that is walking along the beach with a friend, or camping and fishing with my two sons. Many times this is done with a cup of coffee in hand, and "yes, please!" to the added pumps of vanilla and a little added sugar. Coffee seems to be a gateway to what is comforting and a go to when spending time with friends and family. Beyond activities, I am passionate about fully connecting with others and being present for all moments in life with the backdrop of beauty we are blessed to have in South Orange County. When I'm not working, I'm usually trying to keep up with my active boys on various adventures, which truly is my personal adventure!

In my life, I've experienced two life altering losses of loved ones, which have inspired my insight and passion to delve deeper into how I could turn my personal grief into a foundation for growth. My spirituality and faith play an important role in my life and influence my practice. I received my bachelor's degree in Social Sciences from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. Many years later, after experiencing the second of these two devastating losses of a loved one, I went back to school to get my master's in Counseling at Concordia University.

I am an empathetic therapist who enjoys interacting with individuals from various backgrounds. Working with individuals in a collaborative manner exploring reasons they may be feeling stuck in a rut and are ready to improve their lives. I specialize in working with adults who struggle with anxiety, depression, grief, and trauma. It is my primary goal to provide a safe space for clients to explore and process emotions with an outcome of empowerment and freedom. We will work together to meet you where you are at and focus on readiness to gain the most benefit from therapy.
